You don’t mess with…

June 3, 2008

…Zohan!!
Saw this latest movie trailer starring Adam Sandler (the comedian of the century!) as an Israeli commando turning into a hairstylist in New York!
Darn Funnie! Looking forward to catch this movie when it’s out…

Oh ya… and it even inspired a “Zohan’s Super Spa” shockwave game!
It has been a long time since I last played simple [...]

Singapore Standard Time

October 23, 2007

I was assigned with the task of reviewing a film which might be related to NE and so I attended the screening of “Singapore Standard Time”  (organised by Asian Film Archive) at Hwa Chong Institution last Thursday.
Well, I felt really special… very privileged to be the one and only audience in the whole theatre…kekeke…. Nevertheless, this trip [...]

881

August 28, 2007

Watched 881 during the branch outing today.
It’s a very nice show with a very good cast and excellent the hokkien songs (”the” hokkien song? me and my broken english… duh… just realised that)!
This movie is like a local “Moulin Rouge” and 80% of the movie are dances and songs. I heard some people cried after [...]

Ocean Thirteen

June 26, 2007

Watched Ocean’s Thirteen last night.
The movie is as witty and suave as Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve but not as good.  However, I think that the film succeeded because it gives the audience what they are expecting. Within the first 10-15 minutes after the movie began, they are already planning the villian - Bank’s downfall.
Although the plot [...]

Pirates of the Carribean

June 13, 2007

I’ve been so looking forward to watching this third installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean” right after the last blockbuster “Spiderman 3“. So, I finally watched it with Alan recently.
It was entertaining, and I had a great time.  There were not as many funny parts as they have in “The dead man’s chest” but there are some [...]

Spiderman 3

May 6, 2007

Yea! I finally watch the Spiderman 3 at the private screening organised by Mitsubitshi cycle & carriage at the VivoCity GVMax yesterday. It was fabulous! The seats are stylishly designed in crimson red and real comfy, and did I mention that there are a lot of leg rooms given and a super wide screen?

I will definitely go there [...]

DVDs Craze…

April 2, 2007

On our way home on friday nite after a tiring week of work and nite classes, Alan and I opened the letterbox. There lies the new delivery of rented dvd from Hollywoodclicks.
I have been renting dvds since last year, since I thought the prices of
1. 2 Movie Tickets …………………………….. $8.50 x 2 = $17.00
2. The irresistable popcorn [...]
