Am I lucky or what?!
Just as I have been blogging and talking to my friends about the accident at Loyang Ave, I had a car accident last friday along SLE when exiting BKE!
I was on my way to NTU when it happened. And I was driving alone…
There was a petroleum tanker truck on big fire on the opposite side of the expressway. Everyone in the queue out to BKE started to panic! And I thought “Hell… this truck is gonna explode any minute …and I better get out of the place asap.”
As the traffic exiting BKE is always slow, cars will usually stop along the exit. So, when I was queuing up to exit, this car came along, behind me, crashed into my car! My car was then pushed forward and it banged into the car in front.
I got a shock of my life!
Luckily (or not…), I had some *ahem… experiences with accident before, so I roughly know what to do when accident happens.
However, the situation this time round was different! That petroleum tank truck was still burning furiously! So I got to quickly note down the contact details of both drivers and leave as fast as possible before that thing explodes! Luckily, Civil defence came down before it did…
So drama right…
I managed to drive home first before getting the tow truck to tow my car to IDAC for damage assessment.
It’s apparently the fault of this @#$%^ driver of the car at the back. He was looking at that truck on fire, that he didn’t realised that the cars in front have stopped. The driver in front and I will be claiming from the insurance company of this driver .
Luckily, both are Singapore registered cars and both are Sedan Cars not heavy vehicles! Thank god!
Oh, my poor car… haiz… but well, I just got to count myself lucky that I came out of that accident unhurt and alive.

OMG…
Is alway like that. When there is an accident on the opposite side of the road, the driver will tend to look and see what is happening.
Anyway, at least nothing happen to you.
Take care =)

Sorry to hear about the accident.. as long as you are safe and sound that is most important. The car can always be repaired, a human life is priceless. I have a friend who got into a road accident recently but did not go for check up. Now the after effect is backpain and problem of moving arms cause by impact from the back. So take care.

yup… luckily the impact not that great (as compared to the last accident at Yio Chu Kang Road), I only jerked a little and hit my knees.

Mm, Take care of yourself when driving , especially when driving in Singapore has been horrific since the start of last year. Unfortunately It doesn’t seem to get any better. *Sigh*
By the way, your previous accident was at which part of Yio Chu Kang Road ? Near to S’goon Gardens ? Mm.

thanks… the previous accident was similar to this. It was along Yio Chu Kang Rd. My hubby was driving at that time and a car crashed into us from behind when we stopped at the traffic light (red light)… .
I dunno what’s with the drivers nowadays…
