Relaxing @ Bintan

Alan went for his 3 days 2 nites company retreat at Bintan last week (it’s a no-work retreat) .

I was drooling when I heard that! So gooood….

I don’t think I’ll be able to get this kind of retreat as long as I am still working at where I am working now… haiz…

So, I had to fork out money to join Alan at Bintan over the weekend. He joined us after his event ended. Managed to booked a company 3-bedroom bungalow there last min at cheap rate and asked my PIL and M along to join me.

My first nite there was not so gd… M was scared to sleep alone. So, we had to leave our bedroom doors open, lights of the kitchen and bathroom on. I kept telling her not to be scared… 

As i laid on my bed, I looked at the time. 2 am. 

Just before I fell asleep, I heard footsteps walking along my window outside, stepping on the dried leaves and grass… which kinda scared the hell out of me!

I told myself that its an animal… (but what sort?!).

It went away after a while (Phew!) and I managed to sleep after that.

We saw a squirrel running around outside the bungalow the next morning. Let’s just assume that it’s a squirrel that I heard.

We enjoyed driving the buggy around (each bungalow has its own buggy). Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t that good, it was drizzling all the way until our last day which we took the opportunity to do some swimming (body still aching), sunning, and enjoying our mocktails by the pool. 

Managed to get some spa treatment at Pasar Ole Ole which was so-so. But the hospitality was pretty good. $40 for the massage and dry scrub - well, reasonable lar, I would say.

We brought mahjong there to kill the time. 

And I won.

Well, just another relaxing short holiday.

Hate to be back at work again…
