Hanging out @ The Central
Ha! I was finally getting some social life over last weekends. Went out with a few friends on friday night and saturday.
Let me just talk about Friday first. In the evening, I met up with my girlfriends A, J, and S for dinner at “The Central“.
I really dislike the carpark there. First of all, you have to drive up the spiral ramp for 4 – 5 storeys (ya! that high! *roll eyes) . As I was driving, I really have to concentrate and keep wondering when the entrance to the carpark will appear. I got giddy after a while. When I finally got to the carpark, I was like “oh, finally…“. Their carpark is so small and with only a few lots at every level.
I was running late and drove past lvl 5 & 6 without any luck.
When I came to lvl 7 , I thought “Jia lat lar… seems like no luck to get a lot here too…“, and then I came upon this funny lot …
The way they design this carpark is really weird, I thought.
There is this empty vertical parking lot in between 2 parallel lots (One parked a Merc, the other a Getz). The space in between was quite narrow.
Oh what the heck! I thought. I was already getting a bit ‘gong gong’ from the spiral ramp, and I’m not going to go round and round this stupid carpark looking for an empty lot!
Okay. I decide. It’s time to re-test my parking skills.
Ahem… and ….*drumrolls…..
Tata! I managed to squeeze my Lancer ’swee swee’ in! Beautiful!

hee… thank god! (My driving skills not ‘gai’ one ok?! hahah… lucky I have enough training and went through 5 practical tests before they passed me!)
After I got out of my car, I quickly copied down the both cars carplate numbers (just in case they bang into my car while trying to maneuver out and chao.)

Never have I eaten a black pig before. This was my first, but definitely not going to be my last! This Jap restaurant Tom Ton @ The Central served great black pig dishes! The Deep Fried Pork Loins Set (top grade $25++) was fabulously juicy! The meat were soft and tender, and the fats within it simply melt in the mouth with every bite! One word to describe -“Satisfying”.
And we ordered this raw sweet corn ($6.80++) to share. It’s supposedly fresh from Japan (Hokkaido)? I have never eaten a corn as sweet and crunchy as this.
Try it if you got the chance… you won’t regret it.
