Oh gosh… I really have to stop my bad habit in procastination…
See… here I go again… I guess I’ll never ever start off my blog. Let’s see how long can I sustain this.
Things have been getting stressful at work recently due to the ever-never-ending “project”. I have been practically doing things which are so ‘ambitious’ that I don’t what I’m really doing Just like today, i stayed back till 2000 hrs++ in office for some discussion. Not sure where this discussion is going to lead to. Perhaps, it’s time to leave for a better pasture… hehe….. Not that i’m complaining but my poor hubby was suffering with me… we had a very late dinner and the poor guy got to take public transport home.

Half a year ago, our organisation replaced our word processing software (huh? which one? the most popular one lar… no need me to spell out) with an open source software. And guess what? while everyone else is still struggling to learn and cope with their heavy workload using this !#$%^ software, I can proudly say that I’m already more or less familiar with it… much better than anyone else in my current working area. All thanks to my ‘project’ which I have to practically ‘practise’ how to use this new software (which was @#$%^&*) thru lots of trials and errors…
Well, you know that you are good at something when you get calls like:
“hi, sorry to disturb but how do I change the pagination of my annex hah?”
“Where do you go to change the layout to landscape instead of portrait huh?”…
Well… I was very tempted to reply:”I dunno leh… how would i know? I’m not the developer of this @#$%^ software…. why dun you try their help function?”
But well, you know…. being a kind soul and doesn’t want to smear the image of a Librarian, I know that I have the responsiblity to provide anyone, in distress, an answer to any questions. So, as usual, I always answer them - dutifully.
Or bee right?
